“Since I was a kid, I was always interested in truck driving. My dad said, “You don’t know what you’re talking about” when I told him. I worked construction for about 10 years, and I got tired of getting laid off all the time. No benefits, no health insurance. I was just a number out there. I picked up the paper one day and saw trucking. You get all the benefits, and it’s steady, year-round work, so I went for it.”

Former driver Adam (shown on the right) recently moved to a new position as Corporate Driver Trainer at Quantix. When asked about the new opportunity, he said, “it tells me my manager believes in me enough to let me take on this task. I enjoy working with our drivers and getting to know more about them.”

“I have driven for A&R (now Quantix) for 13 years. I live right down the road from their Highlands facility. A&R knows me, my family, and our schedule better than I do. If I want to work they work with me – they work with all of us the best they can. They take good care of me and my family, so I can take care of the driving and the customers. I’ve never found a better place to work.”
John, owner and operator for Highlands, TX facility
“I used to think that the free workout I got from dragging hoses was my favorite part of the job but I’ve realized that it’s the team. I work with a great group of individuals that all collectively make that my favorite part of the job. There’s always someone that’s a phone call away with any problems you may run into from routes to customers to issues with equipment. It makes work not seem so much like work when you love what you do and have a great support team behind you.”
